I am so happy that my baby boy is finally here. It seems like I was waiting forever, although he was 2 days early.  For some reason I just knew he was going to come a little early. I was just surprised how fast it all happened. Monday morning I woke up feeling pretty normal as usually. When lunch time came around I started to feel some contractions but didn't think much of it since they were about 15 minutes apart. Chandlar and I ate our lunch and after that I laid her down for a nap. I decided to lay down myself to see if my contraction would go away. And well....they didn't, they were now about 10 minutes apart. After I got up and cleaned up a little  I texted Skylar to let him know what was going on but I told him he didn't need to rush home. At about 5:30-6:00 Skylar came home. We ate some dinner and took a little walk around our neighborhood. By the time we got home from our walk at about 8 my contractions were 5-8 minutes apart. Skylar insisted to get in gear and drive the 30 minutes to the hospital. I still wasn't convinced that I was in real labor so I wanted to wait a little longer. So I got in the bath so to see if relaxing in it would stop the contraction. Well, I was wrong...the longer I was in the bath the more intense my contractions got. Once I got out I then knew we better make our way to the hospital. At about 10pm I was admitted and was only dilated to a 2. Just my luck....and I was gearing myself up for a long labor. With being dilated to a 2 I felt like I was already at a 6 just because of how much pain I was in. My nurse told me that my doctor allowed to have a epidural already, so I jump on that ban wagon quick. Once the drug kicked in I was was able to get some sleep. I remember a total of only 3 times the nurse actually came and checked on my progress. The 3rd time was at about 5:30-5:45 and I was fully dilated and ready to push. I pushed for about 20 minutes and he was here. It took a lot of pushes it seems like...and now I know why considering how little I am and how big he was. It was another journey that I will never forget. I'm glad its over and that I am starting the next phase. He has been such a pleasure and his big sister is adjusting well. She has been super sweet to him. I was glad to come home the next afternoon and start to settle in as a family of four. It's been a great time adjusting to this new life and for now I feel that my family is complete. We love having you here Chase.....Welcome to the family!

My Little Butterfly

This year for Halloween Chandlar was a butterfly. She was such a cute one indeed. We didn't take very many pictures but we had a blast at our wards carnival and trunk or treat. There was plenty of things for the kiddos to do and Chandlar had a blast! It was really fun this year to watch Chandlar. It took her a few minutes to know what to say to get some candy but she caught on really quick. It was so cute to hear her say trick-or-treat. I"m glad we were able to have such a nice evening! Can't wait for next year to do it all over again.

Wedding Day 10-22-05
is the number of years I have been married. Where did the time go??? But I must say I am still very happy with the decision I made to marry Skylar. Believe it or not but we still do  love each other and I cannot think of anyone else I would want to spend eternity with. We have definately been through lots of adventures together and it has been great. Here is a picture of us for each year we have been married.

Baby Shower

Yes, that is right!! And  I have just about 4 weeks to go and I am so thrilled. To celebrate,  on Oct. 9th......this past Saturday my sweet cousin Stephannie threw me a  baby shower.
She did a great job putting everything together. I forgot my
camera during the party( which I am bummed about), but there
was a great turn out, yummy food, a fun activity for the guest to do, and lots of presents for baby Chase!! I am so grateful to everyone who was able
to come. I now feel a little bit prepared and less stressed about my child being naked for the next few months of his life. Thank you all for coming...it was
a ton of fun and I got some amazing things. Oh...and
I want to thank those too who didn't come but still sent me a gift. I am so blessed to have  some great friends and family!! Love you all!!

Cute diaper cake Stephannie made for me as a display at the Shower!

All the great gifts I recieved.....oops- minus the AWESOME double stroller my sisters and mom got for me.

Chandlar's Special Day!

Today was Chandlar's 2nd Birthday, and we had a fun filled day to celebrate her special day!

First, we started the day off with a yummy breakfast of french toast and milk, she sure did enjoyed it!!
Then we got ready for the day all dressed cute with her new shoes!! She surely knows how to strike a pretty pose and do a little birthday dance!

Once we were all dressed, we headed into town to have lunch with Daddy, she is such a daddy's girl and she did surprisingly well in the restaurant while we waited for 40 minutes for our food. It was worth it though.
Rumbi Grill
After lunch we took her to get a balloon. She loves balloons and had a blast with it for the rest of the afternoon. Mom also took her shopping after lunch to look at some birthday presents.
When the evening rolled around and after dinner we had some family come over to enjoy birthday cake and watch her open some presents. The cake was delish, I made texas sheet cake for the first time, which turned out great, if I do say so myself!! She was so hilarious!!  she knew exactly how to blow out the candles and open her presents. It was fun to watch her this year since she knew what to do. Happy Birthday Chandlar!! Hope you enjoyed your day just as much as we did. We love you!!

Thoughts (read if you want)

I just wanted to sit down and write some of my thoughts down since I have been thinking a lot lately. Here I am at 32 weeks and I am just waiting for the time to go by faster. I know that probably most of you might think that I am crazy to think that I already want him here, but I have been less comfortable and more irritable lately. Mainly with the way my body has been feeling. Sometimes I wish I can just cut my belly off and I would be much happier. So with that said my due date cannot come soon enough. I just think I'm ready to have my own body back and enjoy my little boy outside the womb. Don't get me wrong, It is an amazing thing to be pregnant and it really is special growing another one of the Lord's spirits inside me, and to feel its every move. I just want him in my arms and not in my ribs anymore.

Sleeping and having the motivation to do things these days are hard to come by. I am so earnest to do so many things but my body won't let me. I am tired and lazy most days and it drives me crazy. I shouldn't complain so much because I know how blessed I am to have it so easy for me to become pregnant in the first place. Besides that I have pretty healthy pregnancy with no complications what so ever. I just feel that my body has taken a major tole this time and I wasn't expecting to already be feeling miserable. I know this too shall pass, I am just hoping now that since I only have 8 more weeks to go that everything will pick up for me.

Materialistically I am not quite prepared for him to be here, but Mentally and physcially I am ready. I think as ready as I am going to get with having a 2 year old little girl. I am honestly not worried about her when her little brother gets here. I know she will be so good to him and will fit right in with all the adjustments that will take place with having 2 kids. She is so sweet and I really do believe she is just as anxious for him to be here as I am. I am not worried that she will act up in anyway cus I know that she knows that we love her so much and plus she is going to be such a big help, I can just tell. She is already so good to help me with things, get me things that I need when I don't feel like getting up myself. She really is a sweet and helpful big girl already. If anything I feel she will make things easier for me once her little brother gets here. I hope I am not jinxing myself when I"m saying all this but I really do feel in my heart and mind that we will have an easy transition. Lets hope that is the case....if not I guess I will have a rude awakening.

As far a material things for the baby I have kinda slacked on that part. I guess I have put it in perspective that I already have all the major items I need for the baby and I don't really need to go out and buy or get anything ready for him yet. He will be sleeping in our  room in the cradle for the first three months of his life, which will then give me time to get his nursery or whatever ready for him. I am thinking that since my house isn't at all big enough that I would just put both kids in the same room when he his ready to sleep in the crib. AM I crazy to do that??? Put them in the same room??? I just don't have a lot space for a real nursery. I want to keep my 3rd bedroom available for guest and a place to craft when I want to. My major concern right now is just to spend as much time as I can with Chandlar and give her the attention she needs right now. I don't want to have to worry about having every little thing in order before the big day...I will work at those things when he is here and where I can freely do things that I want with out him jabbing in my ribs or feeling the pain in my back. I just want to relax and enjoy that last 8 weeks of my pregnancy. I might sound lame and I don't really have anything for him yet besides a couple of onesies here and there, but honestly who has the money to go and buy gobbs of clothes this day in age???? I am just grateful I will be having a baby shower and hopefully I will be recieving most of my clothes from that. Besides I have five older sister's and I know that at least one of them will take care of me with hand me downs clothes, right??

Anyway...enough of my ramblings I just wanted to get that stuff off my mind. If you made it this far of reading my whole post then I appreciate it, and thanks for stopping by. Hopefully next time I will have something more exciting to read about with lots of pictures!! But until then....see you later.

What a BIG Girl!!

Wow, It seems like I have not blogged in a while. I guess I have some good excuses though as to why I haven't. Well to start, there hasn't been much to blog about, but besides that for the past week our bishop of our ward challenged us to have a no media entertainment week. Which meant to me that blogging and getting on facebook was probably something that was included. It was a good experience and it did make me feel closer to the Lord by putting the worldly things aside and focusing on Him a little better. It has made me realize that things like blogging and getting on facebook are good wholesome things, but I should be more self cautious about putting the Lord first before all the other things that don't really matter.

It also was a good time for me to bond with Chandlar a little more. She is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me... This is where the title of this blog entry comes from. I took this whole week planning things to get Chandlar potty trained. I put aside 3 consecutive days to buckle down and to show her a big part of what being a BIG GIRL was all about.  One of my friends actually told me about this 3 day potty training program that is suppose to have your child completely trained and out of diapers in 3 days. I thought I would give it a shot and all I can say is that is really does WORK!!  Chandlar can now be called a big girl and I am so proud of her!! I will be honest, It took A LOT of hard work, patience, focus, and staying positive through out the whole process. There was even a time where I felt like giving up, but I stuck to it and the result was absolutely amazing. I now have a big girl at my house and she knows it!! I knew she could do it.... she is such a smart, happy and lovable girl!! To say the least, Skylar and I are so proud of her for doing such a good job!! At the end of day 3 we presented her with a certificate of completion and a nice little present. She loved it!! So far she has had no accidents. I know there might be some little set backs  here and there but I am completely relieved that I will no longer have her in diapers when our little boy gets here.  If you want to learn more about this program, check out 3daypottytraining.com

It was a great bonding experience for her and I.  I am so glad I did it. If anything I have learned so much more about her, which makes me love her that much more. Chandlar, Mom and Dad love you and cannot be anymore happy with you. We absolutely find it an honor to be your parents and we know that there will be many more times in your life where you will make us so proud of all your accomplishments......This is just the first of many more to come!!
