Memorial Day 2013
Its about time I catch up on my blogging. This past memorial day was fantastic! Very low key, but nice. We stayed home this year and enjoyed some water play and a yummy BBQ with friends of ours in our ward. The weather was quite perfect.

Easter 2013
Im super late posting these but I wanted to document our Easter! Such a last minute Easter basket for the kids, but thats not the main reason we celebrate Easter anyway. We had a lovely day and enjoyed remembering our Savior, being together as a family, having a little easter egg hunt, and enjoying our new little one.

Our March Madness
Now that I look back March flew by so fast. At the time it felt like it crept by, I think mainly because it was my last month of pregnancy and I was just eager for it to be over. March was pretty crazy for me, but Im glad I got to bring another choice spirit to the world!!
Chayden Grant Godfrey was born on March 26th 2013...4 days past my due date! He weighed 8lbs 5oz and 21 inches long. I was pretty desperate to get him here! For the whole month of March I was pretty uncomfortable with many false labor pains. These labor pains sent me to the hospital many times with no such luck of welcoming a baby...it was frustrating, and if you didn't know me you would think this was my first time being pregnant. Being on this emotional roller coaster my 40 week doctors appointment came and I was able to schedule an induction. I went in for my appointment on a Monday and the next day I was induced. It was a pretty long labor but I anticipated that part. I just don't progress fast until I get my epidural. Anyway, at at 4:30 am I was put on potocin and at about 2:45 pm we welcomed Chayden!! As soon and he arrived and I saw him for the first time it was such a surreal feeling and such a relief to have him here safely. It actually brought tears to my eyes!! He was so so precious and pure that I felt so blessed that we was mine. Ever since that day he has been such a pleasure and such a good baby! All he does his sleep and he eats like clock work. I know exactly what time he gets hungry...haha its pretty funny!! I am so glad I can enjoy him now in my arms...sometime I wish that they could stay little forever. Here's a few pictures of him the day he as born and the day we brought him home!! He's a keeper We LOVE Him!!

Life as we know It { Family Update}
Thought I would take a few minutes and update you on how the Godfrey family is doing. I think a lot has changed since I last did a family update. From what I remember I was telling you that we were selling our house and moving back into town. Well things have taken a different route for us. A week before we were suppose to close on our house the buyer had to back out due to some financial difficulties on her part. Our house was half way packed up, had another rental lined up, and everything, so we were bummed to say the least. The holidays rolled around and our house was still for sale. Not much activity went on but we kinda figured, with it being Christmas and all. In the mean time Skylar and I decided to make a job change, which he would be working locally instead of commuting 45min each day. So the fact that the buyer of our house fell through we took it as a blessing and have now decided to stay put for a little longer and see where life will take us in about a year. Its funny how the Holy Ghost works sometimes....we had the prompting to move, but then things went the other derections... I think we get promptings in our lives sometimes just to see if we are really listening and obeying. Anyway, I'm actually glad to stay in our little humble home for now. I have really grown to love it. As far as each of us are doing, I will take a little time to tell you....
Skylar- Man, where do I start with this amazing man in my life. He his such a hard worker and has so much potential to go far in life. That's why we decided for a job change. We have a really good friend in our ward who wants to start a glass business with Skylar, and when we came to us about it....we knew that this was something we wanted to do. Its been taking a while to get things going but I know this is what we are suppose to do and see such a bright future for us. Im glad that so many people see so many good qualities in Skylar that they want to start a business with him. He is one decidated person and does really well at anything he puts his mind to. I know with his kind of personality things will go far for him!! I trust him and love him so much that I never worry that we wont provide for our family. He's a keeper and I'm really thankful he's mine.
Chanell- Well for me, I really don't do much but hold the fort down at home! :) Raising kids and nurturing them can be difficult at times, but I love being a mom and seeing all the special mile stones they accomplish each day. I am now 34 weeks along with baby #3.. I'm getting really anxious to get this baby out! Im excited to have a baby in our home again, but scared to think that I will have three kids. Hopefully it wont be as bad as some people tell me. At times I have tons of energy I "nest" like crazy and other times I have no energy at all!! Gotta love pregnancy! But for the most part I really do enjoy being pregnant, its such a blessing and honor to be making another choice spirit of Heavenly Father's and bring him into the world. Can't wait to meet my little guy! I only have about 6 more weeks to go....it will be here before I know it.
Chandlar- On to Chandlar now. Lately she has been learning so much about the alphabet and gearing up to go to school soon. She will be in kindergarten the year after next and Im getting so excited but sad at the same time about it. I can't believe how big she is. She is so independent now and most of the time I can count on her to do things I ask. When we go places I hardly even noticed she's there!! She is so well behaved when we are out and about, and I hope she's the same way when Im not around. She still has her moments, but being a girl... I think we all do :) She's really into writing her letters and numbers and knows how to spell her name. She likes to play on the computer and is such a girly girl when it come to barbies and dress up. She's really curious about everything and likes to asks a lot of questions, and just likes to talk period. There are time where she just doesn't want to be quiet. Lately her and I have been enjoying some time together by going out for a girls night! She loves it and so do I. I hope the older she gets that we will continue to do it. She loves having friends over, riding her bike and bossing her little brother around. Im glad she's my oldest and can't wait to see what she will become as a young women. I love her to peices!!
Chase- He's my little stinker lately, He loves to tease his sister and really gets her upset on purpose...he thinks its funny! Everything that he plays with ends up being a sword, a gun or some kind of weapon! haha. I love how boy he is!! He's been potty trained now for about a month and does really well for the most part!! He's finally getting a hang of the #2 part! I think we are all happy about that. Chase loves to laugh, smile, be loud, be around his dad and do what his dad does. He loves Skylar, but really loves everyone and likes to cuddle...thats my favorite part!! He also loves his cars and trains lately too! And he talks so so well!! His vocabulary has really blossomed and can say complete sentences. He loves my big baby belly and will give his little brother kisses all the time! its going to be fun to see him and his brother together! Chase overall is so sweet and sensitive but knows how to be a boy too!! I love that Chase will be my middle child... he brings so much balance into our lives and always has. He's such a big boy and its hard to think he wont be the baby anymore. I really do love my buddy!!

Visit to Schnepf Farms
It's been almost 4 years since we've lived out here in Queen Creek. I've always wanted to visit Snchepf Farms so we finally did! We invited one of our friends to come along with us, and it was such a perfect day to be out. No crowds, nice weather and lots of things for the kids to do. We had a blast!! Carousel ride, petting zoo, and a train ride to name a few. We will definitely go back to visit again.

New Years 2013
This new year included fun with the Webb Family, yummy food, playing games, and setting some fireworks off!! It was low key, and I don't even think we lasted until midnight, but we made lots of memories!!
