A Special Day

Yesterday was a special day indeed, Chase was blessed. I feel so honored to be his mother. He brings a special spirit into our home, and I'm glad I was chosen to raise him. Skylar gave a wonderful blessing and I feel grateful to be married to a worthy priesthood holder. I hope and pray my son follows in his footsteps as well as the Saviors. I have been blessed with such beautiful children. They bring so much joy into my life. I absolutely love them. Thank you to all my family and friends who made it to Chase's blessing!

This past weekend our little family had the chance to go to the Zoolights with one of my older sisters. It was actually quite cool to see all the neat lights displayed. Chandlar had a blast!! After the night was over and on our way home Chandlar could not stop talking about the "zoowhites".It was such a nice night out. I think we all had an enjoyable evening. Thanks Ann-Marie for the invite!!

The cool Light Show they played with music.

1 Month Old

I know I'm a little late posting this but I wanted to put some pictures up of Chase at his 1 month birthday.  Which was on the 9th of December. Time has definitely flown by. I just can't get enough of this little chunky and neither can his older sister. I believe he weighs close to 10lbs now. Having a little boy around the house has definitely brought some calmness into our home. He is such a chill and relaxing baby!! We absolutely love him!!

New Born Pictures

I was so excited when a friend in my ward asked if she could take some pictures of Chase. She couldn't make it to my baby shower so this was the gift she gave me instead. I absolutely love how they turned out!! Every time I get on my computer I seem to look at them all the time. She took a couple of Chandlar as well.  There is nothing more pleasant than being a mother of these two beautiful children. They both are amazing and great. Heavenly Father surely did bless me!!

Thanksgiving / Family Home Evening

Just a recap of our Thanksgiving...... Things were a little different for us but we still had a great time this past Thanksgiving. We normally celebrate Thanksgiving by going to the sand dunes with my family, but since I just had Chase we decided to stay home this year. It was nice not having to worry about going anywhere. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with Skylar's side of the family. It was fun to be around them eating yummy food, talking about what it means to be grateful and getting into the Christmas mood by playing Christmas charades. Never a dull moment around the Godfrey's....thats for sure.

Talking about Christmas......  Its starting to feel a little more like it around our house, but I"m still having a hard time getting into the whole Holiday thing. I guess thats what I get for having a baby around the holidays. A lot of adjusting is going on around here, but I hope for a great one this year.  We decided for family night this past week to get out our Christmas stuff and decorated the Tree. Chandlar had a blast. It was fun to see her get so excited about decorating the tree, which has made me feel a little bit more in the mood. Every morning now when she wakes up the first thing she asks for is to turn on the Christmas Tree lights. She is the best, I really can't wait for Christmas morning to see how she reacts to all the presents under the tree. I hope we can make it a memorable one. Here are a few picture of Chandlar hanging up the bulbs. Our camera battery died so this is all we got. Enjoy!!

I am so happy that my baby boy is finally here. It seems like I was waiting forever, although he was 2 days early.  For some reason I just knew he was going to come a little early. I was just surprised how fast it all happened. Monday morning I woke up feeling pretty normal as usually. When lunch time came around I started to feel some contractions but didn't think much of it since they were about 15 minutes apart. Chandlar and I ate our lunch and after that I laid her down for a nap. I decided to lay down myself to see if my contraction would go away. And well....they didn't, they were now about 10 minutes apart. After I got up and cleaned up a little  I texted Skylar to let him know what was going on but I told him he didn't need to rush home. At about 5:30-6:00 Skylar came home. We ate some dinner and took a little walk around our neighborhood. By the time we got home from our walk at about 8 my contractions were 5-8 minutes apart. Skylar insisted to get in gear and drive the 30 minutes to the hospital. I still wasn't convinced that I was in real labor so I wanted to wait a little longer. So I got in the bath so to see if relaxing in it would stop the contraction. Well, I was wrong...the longer I was in the bath the more intense my contractions got. Once I got out I then knew we better make our way to the hospital. At about 10pm I was admitted and was only dilated to a 2. Just my luck....and I was gearing myself up for a long labor. With being dilated to a 2 I felt like I was already at a 6 just because of how much pain I was in. My nurse told me that my doctor allowed to have a epidural already, so I jump on that ban wagon quick. Once the drug kicked in I was was able to get some sleep. I remember a total of only 3 times the nurse actually came and checked on my progress. The 3rd time was at about 5:30-5:45 and I was fully dilated and ready to push. I pushed for about 20 minutes and he was here. It took a lot of pushes it seems like...and now I know why considering how little I am and how big he was. It was another journey that I will never forget. I'm glad its over and that I am starting the next phase. He has been such a pleasure and his big sister is adjusting well. She has been super sweet to him. I was glad to come home the next afternoon and start to settle in as a family of four. It's been a great time adjusting to this new life and for now I feel that my family is complete. We love having you here Chase.....Welcome to the family!

My Little Butterfly

This year for Halloween Chandlar was a butterfly. She was such a cute one indeed. We didn't take very many pictures but we had a blast at our wards carnival and trunk or treat. There was plenty of things for the kiddos to do and Chandlar had a blast! It was really fun this year to watch Chandlar. It took her a few minutes to know what to say to get some candy but she caught on really quick. It was so cute to hear her say trick-or-treat. I"m glad we were able to have such a nice evening! Can't wait for next year to do it all over again.
